In its annual report on the strategies used in national substance abuse prevention, the White House put a spotlight on the Upper Bucks HCHY Coalition and their efforts in the past year with a one page article.The article detailed the coalition's recent activities, particularly the "2outta3" Social Norms marketing campaign. - Press Conference to Highlight New Drug-Free Communities’ Mentoring Grant, Substance Abuse Trends, Campaign to Prevent Underage Drinking
Drug-Free Communities Administrator Jack Claypoole and Pennsylvania Congressman Michael Fitzpatrick, along with justCommunity Founder/Community Mobilizer Lee Rush, will announce major new substance abuse resources for Bucks County at a press conference scheduled for 11 am Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at James A. Michener Library, 401 West Mill Street in Quakertown.
They will announce a new Drug-Free Communities’ Mentoring Grant and discuss substance abuse trends in Upper Bucks County, including the results of the 2006 Student Support Card, the largest ever youth survey conducted on adolescent health and behaviors. They will also highlight the Upper Bucks Healthy Communities Healthy Youth Coalition's first Social Norming Campaign to prevent underage drinking.
