Project CARE

Since 2005, justCommunity has sponsored Project CARE, one of the region’s principal providers of innovative and practical trainings and workshops for adult professionals who work with youth and their families. Project CARE is a state approved provider of Student Assistance Program (SAP) training and also offers other educational seminars, trainings and workshops for adults working with adolescents in school and community settings.

Course Description: The workshop is based on revised Standards and Competencies re-issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Education in 2012 and will certify individuals for both elementary and secondary school SAP teams. Completion of the competency-based activities, including a post-training assignment, results in SAP certification, and receipt of 30 Act 48 hours.

Course Fee: $375
Training scholarships are available to Bucks and Schuylkill County public and private schools. When registering, write in the comments section “Full Scholarship Provided” and then follow up and call 215-538-4799 to confirm.

K-12 SAP Training is approved for 30 Act 48 hours upon completion of the 6-hour post-workshop application assignment.

Please register soon as space may be limited. When registered, you will be sent a confirmation email with map and invoice. If possible, please pay in advance or bring payment with you to the training. If you do not register prior to the training, we may not have space or materials for you, so be sure to contact us at least 2 weeks prior to the workshop to verify your registration. We suggest that you register with us directly and not rely on your billing office to register you, as payments frequently reach us after registration has closed.

Project CARE reserves the right to cancel training due to an insufficient number of registrants.
