Submissions for the 2011 Theatre Arts Festival are currently taking place and will be accepted until November 4, 2011. You can submit up to 6 original short plays or songs using this by clicking here or simply submit the form below.

This year’s theme is WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND? This could include: grades, college, pressure, bullying, love, money, friendship, heartbreak, sadness, joy, or whatever comes up in your imagination. Be brave and tell us what’s on your mind!

Please remember that this is a short play and original song contest. Poems are welcome too! Prizes will be awarded.

  • Open to grades 8-12 throughout Bucks & Montgomery County
  • Each play should be no longer than 10 pages
  • Each song should be submitted in written & recorded format

A representative from justCommunity’s theatre arts festival will contact you, by e-mail, to confirm the receipt of your play(s), poem(s) and/or song(s).

Each play, poem or song that is submitted will be reviewed by a professional playwright or musician who will select the songs to be performed and the plays to have staged readings at justCommunity’s Theatre Arts Festival on Sunday, December 11 at the James Lorah House in Doylestown.

All applicants will be notified about their status.  If your play, poem or song is selected, group meetings will be held to prepare you for the performance on December 11th.  You will also have the opportunity to work with theatre professionals who will guide you throughout the production process.
