justCommunity, Inc. Supports Upper Bucks Alliance for Creative Expression (UBACE)

Since the UBHCHY Coalition began collecting data in 2002 on the level of Developmental Assets in Upper Bucks youth, one of the least reported asset categories has been “Creative Activities.” If the The Upper Bucks Alliance for Creative Expression (UBACE) has anything to do with it, this level will change in the next decade. UBACE is a Quakertown based non-profit organization whose mission is to “foster, inspire and celebrate personal growth opportunities for area youth and adults through creative expression in a safe, vibrant, nurturing environment.”
UBACE held its eleventh Signature Concert on November 13, 2010 at Lehigh University’s satellite campus in Bethlehem, PA. UBACE has touched the lives of students and parents locally over the past seven years, involving the participation and talent of more than five-hundred youth. According to Samantha Beattie, Executive Director of UBACE, the organization was established for and thrives on the goal to “help youth musicians perfect their art and give them a safe and sober place to practice and mix with peers and adults.”
