Indian Valley Character Counts! Coalition Creates Video

The Souderton Area School District and the Indian Valley Character Counts! Coalition (IVCCC) collaborated in the taping of a video for a staff development opportunity in January 2011.  This video was used as a resource to help the faculty further their understanding of the results of the April 2010 youth survey taken by all 8th, 10th, and 12th gracde students from the Souderton School District.  Sam Varano, High School Principal, Kyle Longacre, High School Assistant Principal, Kristin Messina, IVCCC Community Mobilizer and Lee Rush, Community Mobilizer from the Upper Bucks Healthy Communities Healthy Youth (UBHCHY) Coalition shared information in a twenty-minute video presentation that was shown via the High School’s streaming television system.  This video was used to help the faculty prepare for their own presentations to share the survey results to the entire student population in February of 2011.  The outcome from the video production and sharing was to give the students of Souderton Area High School a sense of confidence that their teachers, their parents and the entire Indian Valley community respect, value and understand them and who they are.   To view the video presentation visit www.ivccc.org
