Drug Take Back Planned for April 30, 2011
The next Take Back Day will be on April 30, 2011 from 10am to 2pm throughout Bucks County as a part of the National Drug Take Back Event.
At present, the local police departments are in the process of signing up to participate again.

In December of 2009, Upper Bucks Healthy Communities/Healthy Youth Chairperson, I attended a workshop in Washington, DC about Prescription Medication Take Back Programs. I learned that there is an epidemic in the U.S. due to the illegal use of prescription drugs.

Since the UBHCHY Coalition began collecting data in 2002 on the level of Developmental Assets in Upper Bucks youth, one of the least reported asset categories has been “Creative Activities.” If the The Upper Bucks Alliance for Creative Expression (UBACE) has anything to do with it, this level will change in the next decade.
Second Prescription Drug Take-Back Scheduled for November 13, 2010
Upper Bucks Healthy Communities Healthy Youth (UBHCHY) Coalition together with justCommunity, Inc. is proud to announce a second Prescription Drug Take-Back day scheduled for Saturday, November 13, 2010.
Results of the First Annual Drug Take Back
The first ever nationwide Prescription Drug Take Back event was held on Saturday, September 25, 2010. Multiple locations throughout Upper Bucks County were manned by police officers, members of the Drug Enforcement Administration, board members, staff and volunteers of Upper Bucks Healthy Communities Healthy Youth Coalition. Thousands of pounds of unused, unwanted prescription drugs were turned in to secure deposit centers provided by the DEA to help curb the prescription drug misuse and abuse problem with teens and young adults in the local area.

Results of 2010 Student Support Card Released at Town Hall Meeting
Over 150 community leaders and youth came together at the James Michener Library in Doylestown, PA, to learn the results of the recent 2010 youth survey (UBHCHY Student Support Card) conducted with almost 3,000 teenagers in Upper Bucks County.
